Sassy Anniversary Relay, Day 2

Time for another quickie post! I am on Day 2 of the Sassy Studios Anniversary Relay . The image we received as participants today is SO pretty! Her name is Princess Penelope, and this is what I created with her. Isn’t she lovely? I colored her in with my EK Success Watercolor markers. I stamped the sentiment and flowers on a really pretty, textured cardstock from K & Company. Here’s a close up. I can just imagine coloring her dress in so many ways! She’s beautiful! Sorry to make another short post, but I am trying to get a bunch of projects done all at once! Stop by tomorrow to see what’s next in this fun relay! Have an inspiring day!

Sassy Anniversary Relay

Hello! A real quick post for you today, for a real quick project I made late last night! Sassy Studio Designs is having an Anniversary Relay. You can see all of the Day 1 Details HERE. I’ve gotta get this post up quick so I can move on to the next round! I don’t usually rush projects, but I only found out about the relay late last night! Here’s my project: I had this tag (actually, a ton of them) in my stash, and I thought Cassie would look totally cute on it. I colored her (again, kinda quickly) in my colored pencils, and used a stencil and some chalk for the background on the tag. Added some sparkly yarn and voila! Finished! I love her boots! I also chalked around Cassie a bit to dull down the whit that I had printed her on. Ok! Off to have some breakfast! Have an inspiring day!

Wild Flower Wednesday 15- Distress It!

I made a layout!!! Finally!!! I have been itching to scrapbook, but it takes me so much ore time to do a page then it does to make a card… So sadly, with all of my commitments, the scrapbooking has fallen by the wayside. But when I saw Jen’s Wild Flower Wednesday Challenge (to distress your project), I knew I HAD to play along!!! I love to distress! Plus, a few challenges back, I was lucky enough to win 3 digis of my choice! Wait ‘till you see what I did! Here’s 2 of the 3 digis I chose: This is Rye and Skater Sage. Aren’t they so handsome? Well, here’s why I chose them. First, I don’t have a lot of boy stuff. Second, Skater Sage looks an awful lot like my Phoenix. And third, Rye is wearing one of Phoenix’s fave outfits! Wanna see how I made my digis look just like Phoenix??? Please click on the photos to see them bigger. I cut off the heads on both digis and swapped them! Doesn’t it look just like him now? I am so happy with how Sage/Rye turned out! And yes, I dr

StampInsanity Challenge 11: Inspiration Picture

It’s time for another awesome StampInsanity Challenge! This week we were to use an inspiration picture. Here it is: Isn’t it a rockin’ t-shirt??? I totally want it! And here’s the card that I made. So at first, I was totally stoked about making this card. I colored in this version of Maddie and I LOVED her! Her dress came out perfect, I was diggin’ her hair, and I knew the card was gonna rock. I cut her out, and put her on my workspace while I was making my Bombshell Hop card. So somehow, some way, my poor little Maddie got ink on her face. Right by her mouth. And under her eye. Freakin’ great right? Now I had to think quickly. I knew I didn’t have time to color in a new Maddie, so how was I going to fix her??? Well, after a clot of “concealer” on her pretty face, and a whole lotta Glaze pen, Maddie now looks like she had a bit of Botox. Needless to say, I am not happy. I should have used a regular marker, but I thought the Glaze would be pretty and keep your eye away from the mess

May Bombshell Blog Hop!

I’m participating in my second Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! This month, the challenge is called, “Look Ma, I did it!” Kas says: Call it a Mother's Day theme....or Just fun. This month, we want to see what you are made of....and what you can make. You can make any sort of project, a card, a layout, an altered object...whatever...you just need to make a handmade embellishment. It can be a flower, button, etc... You just have to make it. Pair it with a great Bombshell stamp and get ready for the bloghop. Here’s my creation: Yee Haw! This Bombshell is ready to wrestle up a bull, ain’t she??? So what did I “create?” I made my background using a stencil and chalk, plus Distress Inks. And, I made my little embellishment using a Nestabilities and one of the sentis from the Lil’ Grumpies set (obsessed? Hell yeah!). Here’s a close up of this purdy little wrangler: Please click on any of the photos for a close up.She’s colored in with my Spectracolor colored

I Am So Late with My Spinner Card!

There are so many awesome challenge blogs out there… too many to always participate in! Especially since I have DT commitments. One blog that I can never play along with often enough is Stamp It Crazy . I’m not gonna spend a long time chatting in this post because I am already soooo late in linking my card up!!! Just trust me, you are gonna want to check them out! They sell some INCREDIBLE stamps! We were challenged to make a spinner card. I have never made one before, but I’ve seen them done and I think they are awesome! I love that there is movement on the card!!! Here’s mine: Here’s yet another Lil’ Grumpie card! Now here he is spinning! Up, up up he goes!!! You can find a great tutorial on how to make a spinner card HERE . Now here’s a close up of my Grumpie (from Smeared Ink !) And a quick shot of the inside. Originally, I was gonna have a Grumpie spinning on the inside and outside, but since I ran out of time, I figured the twin could just chill on the inside! Ok! Gotta run!

Sisters

I made this card for my sisters. When I saw the tiny Lil’ Grumpies on my newest Smeared Ink set, I knew I had to make them a card featuring these crazy little creatures. Growing up, we 3 each had our “own” color. I was blue, Pam was green, and Monica was pink. Our rooms were in our color, if our mom bought us 3 of something, it was in our color, etc. So, of course I had to color in the Grumpies in “our” color as well! I also tried to pick the Grumpies that I thought was most like each of us! And my sisters definitely thought that I picked the right ones! They are colored in with colored pencils. And the “Sisters” is from an Alphabet set by Time Flies. I added this to the inside. This sentiment is from the Lil’ Grumpies set. I love the sentiments that it comes with! My family thought the card was great. Which of course makes me very happy! But, I may have to make one more of these so they don’t fight over the single card! Have an inspiring day!!!

You’re Standing on My Tail

I am totally stoked to bring you my very first card featuring Lil’ Grumpies from Smeared Ink . I love this set! I have a feeling that this will definitely become one of my “go to” sets! Here’s my card: How great are these guys??? And they come with some of the funniest sentiments. Like this one here…”You’re standing on my tail.” How great is that??? And if you remember my Damon card from last week (and I am quite certain many of you do!), the “Suck it up” was from this set as well. Here’s a close up of my coloring. Done with my colored pencils by Spectracolor! I pop dotted the purple Grumpie. I really think these guys are hilarious! I also love that the sentiments are done in a typewriter font. So cool! If you haven’t checked out the Smeared Ink line, please do! They are all on 8.5x11 unmounted rubber sheets. Let me just say this…this is the thickest rubber I have ever come across! You will LOVE the quality of these sets! Wanna see more of the Lil’ Grumpies? Well, I

StampInsanity Challenge #10: Bookmark with a Hardware Twist!

Hello again, my Lovelies! It is time for another fabulous StampInsanity cahllenge! This week, the Groovy Gurlz are challenging you to make a bookmark…but with a little twist! You gotta add some hardware! Here’s my little piece of fun: Say hello to Jack. He’s from one of Beth’s latest releases called What the Heart Wants. It’s really with the anticipation of Eclipse coming out (next month!!!) but I always think of New Moon when I think of Jacob. Here’s a close up. As I most often do, Jake is colored in with colored pencils. I added a bunch of yarn for a tassel (which is held on by a big eyelet!), and I also added 3 tiny bells. When I think of Native American jewelry and decorations, there is often little charms hanging off of it… hence the bells. Here’s some more hardware. I added staples through the length of the bookmark and I added this funky cog that I got from my friend Kelli. Jake looks a little snarky, so I made a sentiment sayin’ “Read Dammit.” I used a piece of chipboard fo
