Another Clean & Simple Card with Dreamweavers.

I decided that I enjoyed the Clean and Simple Challenge from Dreamweavers Stencils, so much that I decided to have at it again. This one, I admit…I am itching to do more to, though! HERE is the card I made last week. I felt that it was finished. It didn’t need anything more. I feel the same way about today’s card, however, I can see that it could have more. I may need to make a non-CAS version! You be the judge.

I adore this damask stencil! It’s so intricate and beautiful. Which, I suppose, doesn’t really work for CAS, but I really wanted to use it. I used my Dreamweavers stencil brush to apply Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I think it looks so pretty. I have a few ideas on how to change it up, so hopefully I’ll be able to share that with you soon.

I double stamped “cherish” from Heidi Swapp in Tattered Rose and Vintage photo Distress Ink. And (I couldn’t help myself) I used some Antique Linen to bring out the texture of the pretty pink (I know! I never, ever use baby pink!!! Crazy right?) cardstock from Prism. 3 small pearls…and that was…it. I stopped. And I do like it this way, but it’s not quite my style. When/if I re-do this I will distress the edges, probably emboss the sentiment, ink up the edges more…there’s a bit of a list. But, I stuck to the challenge as best I could. So what do you think??? Should I make a second version?
Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

I love the way you have the ink inconsistent in the depth of color. That makes it BETTER and even prettier. I would have been all worried about it being the same and lost that.

I always want to see more from you, but this is wonderful!
Alison...loving this CAS creation too! That stencil is one of my favorites and I love the "cherish" sentiment you've added.

Alison! So glad you played with us again! This is gorgeous CAS, but now I'm curious to see where you would take it next.

That's lovely. Great job doing a CAS card. They're insanely difficult for me.

The inking you did with the Damask Stencil is Lovely! And since my Retail Store is named "Cherish", this is my favorite card this week, tee hee. I'm having trouble with CAS this month, as I want to distress, and layer, and add one more thing...and, well, you know, so I would LOVE to see how you would redo this card, your description intrigues me!

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga
