March Bombshell Sketch Challenge

I’ve got the latest Bombshell Sketch Challenge to share with you today. Tomorrow it will be up on the Bombshell blog, but since I have another project due tomorrow, I wanted to give each card it’s own time to shine.

March%2712

Here’s my version of the sketch.

I actually kept it really close to  the sketch this time. I only added an additional band at the bottom of the card that I thought my version needed.

I used Rise and Shine for this card. I am really digging this set. I have a few ideas for her, now I just need to find the time to execute them! I colored the image with watercolor markrs and Copics. And I should also mention that Phoenix gave me a lot of help with the color palette. He really loves to choose colors for me, and I think he did a great job! I like to use red and green for things other than Christmas.

My papers are all from a DCWV Christmas Stack. But I don’t think the card looks Holiday at all. Phoenix loves how the card turned out, and I am really happy with it as well.

Remember, the rest of the Bombshell gals and the Pin-Ups will have their versions on the Bombshell Blog tomorrow. Also, don’t forget that Bombshell Stamps is sponsoring the latest CPS Sketch. Click HERE for the deets and HERE to see my version. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

It's fabulous. I don't have that set and you're making me want it now!

Meanwhile, I think it's great that Phoenix helped you choose the colors. He has his mother's eye for color!
Love your take on the sketch and the girls bikini and the colors your chose and the distressing.

Christmas in July with Imagine Crafts & Stencil Girl!

Hello! Have you heard? The Imagine AIRs have been hopping with Stencil Girl! If you have been here before, you know I loooove me some stencils, so this collaboration was very exciting for me! The teams are hopping for 3 consecutive Saturdays, and this is week 2. I have the entire list of hop links at the bottom of the post. Be sure you don't miss anyone! I decided to to create an extra large gift tag with my new stencils. Using red cardstock, I taped down the Journal Texture #8 Stencil  and inked it up with Golden Glitz Delicata ink . I promise you, this is the BEST gold ink you will ever use! The Journal stamp only has 2 diamonds on it (it's a 4x4" stencil), so after I inked up the first pair, I moved over the stencil, lined it up, and inked again. Next I wanted to do something textural with the Urban Insiders Star . So I took some evergreen cardstock, taped down the star, and slathered on some yummy Iridescent Green Creative Medium . After the medium dried, I ga
