Hoppy Easter!

Hello! Happy Friday! I have a new Dilly Beans challenge to share with you. It's Easter! Bring on the bunnies! This is what I made for the theme. I made an ATC. I used image #404- Bunny Suit . She's a cutie! I colored her with watercolor markers, and some Spectrum Noirs. My checkerboard background is a stencil that I inked. I like her hair. I like those colors together. And I just did something similar with my hair...but it's a deep raspberry to purple to teal combo. I thought it came put cool. Please be sure to stop by the Dilly Beans challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with. I am entering this in the latest ATC's with Attitude challenge, which also happens to be Easter. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Bombshell Stamps March Hump Day Hop: Stencil it In!

Hello Bloggy friends! Since it's the last Wednesday of the month, it's time for the Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! This month, the theme that I chose was "Stencil it In." I challenged the participants to either use a pre-made stencil, or to create some of their own! Here's my card. I used 2 images from King of the Road , and the flag from Speed Shop . I was really excited to make this card. Check out that fabby Houndstooth stencil I used! It's from Dreamweaver Stencils . And I have some fun news about them....I am going to be a Guest Designer with them next month! I colored my hot rod with Metallic F/X (also from Dreamweavers) and watercolor markers. You can't tell here, but the car has an awesome glimmer because of the Metallic F/X. You can see it much better here. It's also tough to tell, but pretty much everything is pink. They are soft shades of pink, and I think it looks cool. Here you can really see the dimension of all of my elem

Miss you Daddy....and Trying to Catch Up

Greetings! It's March 21st. My least favorite day of the year. Today, 12 years ago, my Dad passed away. Gods how I hate this day. But, I tried to do something positive. I made an art journal page. Actually, I made 2. I signed up for the 30 Days of lists, and then got the damn flu, and i haven't been able to catch up. So, I sat my butt down the other night and wrote up all the lists I was shy. Now I just need to make the pages. So. I bring you......the page about my Dad. It's got a watercolor background, and I wrote my list on a piece of vellum. It's my "What I Miss About Daddy" list. I could have written for hours. But I kept the list short and sweet. Lest I start bawling. 1. Going to car and motorcycle shows 2. Watching NHRA 3. Everything that never got to happen 4. The look in your eyes when you joke. 5. The pretend ignoring 6. The shots of Goldschlager 7. Shopping with you 8. Your suits 9. Everything This was tough to write...and I am sure

It's Good to be Fancy

Hello blog friends! Today, I have a new Rick St. Dennis image to share with you. He name is Kismet. She is showcased on his blog. Several of use EDT Members colored Kismet according to Rick's wishes. We were each assigned a different hair color, and then free to do as we wished with the rest of the image. I was assigned "fantasy" colored hair. Which I was thrilled about. I mean, just take a look at my profile pic....I'm all about the -ahem- unusual colored hair. I thought she deserved glitter. A LOT of glitter. I covered half of my art journal in a super silver and holographic glitter. And boy is she happy there! I used some Stickles on her outfit too. There is no such thing as too much glitter in my world. And isn't it good to be fancy? At least once in a while? Please be sure to visit Rick's Blog to see what the other girls came up with. Get ready to be wowed! Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

I used watercolor and alcohol markers to color her in. And now on to Dilly Beans. The challenge this week is "Friendship." I chose to work with one of Megan's newer images. And my sentiment is from Create with TLC . This i

Movie Magic Monthly #2: Twilight

2 posts in one day?! See what happens after I'm sick for a week? I have a lot to catch up on! Today is March 10th, so we have the second challenge with Movie Magic Monthly . And I am uber excited about it...because our challenge for the month is The Twilight Saga! For any of you that have been with me from the very beginning of my blog writing, then you know it was Twilight that started it all.  The first DT I was on was Twilight Tuesday, and I have made many friends through that group, like my fellow MMM DT'er, Laura! For my card, I used a couple of images from The Greeting Farm . Images I used quite a bit during those Twilight Tuesday Days. I didn't use the typical red/black/white color palate for my card. I felt like going a different route. Though I will say, I will definitely use those colors for the next project I make for this challenge. I used alcohol markers to color Bella and Edward in. I need more Brick White...mine is pretty dried out and I use that colo

Paint and Splatter: S&S DT Throwdown!

Hello friends and fiends. Today, I am sharing with you a project that I made for the Smeared & Smudged DT Throwdown. What's that you ask? Well, you can check out the rules  HERE , but basically, it's a bunch of teams that are pitted against each other to see who has the coolest project in a set theme. My team is the Ali Kats, and we are Kathi , G ittery Katie and moi. The theme for this first go-around is "Paint and Splatter." I love this challenge! I decided to do something I don't do too often. I made a tag. The Ali Kats knew we wanted to do at least one project featuring our Bombshell Stamps , (that's what brought us together, after all!) and what better way to kick off the Throwdown? I went with my favorite (and first) Bombshell, Pirate's Life . And I vamped her up. A lot. Mmmmmm....someone just had a big meal. Look at the smear on her arm from wiping her mouth! Perhaps she should carry a napkin, or some Wet Ones..... I used gray and a pal

Green: Coloring with It & Feeling It

Ever have one of those weeks? Those weeks that can be written off a s a complete bust? That's how my week has been. I have the flu. And it sucks. I was so ahead with what I needed to do for my projects, and now I am miserably behind. And I still feel terrible. Thankfully, I had my project for this week's Dilly Beans challenge all set to go well before I got kicked in the ass with this horrid sickness. Allow me to share with you....."Green," our challenge for the week. This is Nutmeg. And I think she's awesome. I actually had some extra moments, and my hands were feeling pretty good, so I broke out my beloved colored pencils. It's been forever since I've worked with them. I am totally digging her hair. Oh. And I would like to point out, then when you visit the Dilly Beans Challenge Blog today, you will see the card I blogged about last week. Like a dummy, I switched what I posted....both cards worked for both challenges. And I inadvertently switche

Muse Monday and Day 4 of 30 Days of Lists

Greetings! It's the first Monday of the month, so that means I get to share the latest set I chose from Bombshell Stamps to be featured as a Muse Monday set. This month, it's all about Love and Luck . This set is fairly new to me. I haven't had it long, and have not used it too much yet. But, I plan on using it a bit more this month! I decided to combine the Muse Monday project with my Day 4 from the 30 Days of Lists . I started by panting my background, and then I added my text. I stamped after the paint was nice and dry. I think I will go over everything with Mod Podge...after I check to see if my ink will run or not! Here's a close up. The prompt for today was: "On an average day I..." *want the 4 of us to be home together *worry about what to make for dinner *want to scrapbook, make jewelry, color, etc. *check Facebook 100 times *think about my Dad *give 1000 hugs and kisses to the kids *put on my makeup *miss my sisters *talk to my mom on

3 Lists

Greetings! Today I am sharing the first 3 Lists I made for the 30 Days of Lists. I am putting them all in my Art Journal. I have never been good at doodling....so I am not loving how they look right now, but as the month goes on, hopefully I will find my stride. I don't want to simply write them on the page. I want them to be kinda pretty/cool. Here's Day 1. Nothing too fancy. Just playing with some markers. Here's Day 2. A little bit more exciting. The prompt was "About Me." Here's my list: 1. Artist                                     2. Wife 3. Mommy of 2 4. Glitter Lover 5. Vampire Fanatic 6. Tired 7. Craving Chocolate 8. Empath 9. Snuggler 10. Crazy for Halloween And finally, my Day 3. The prompt was "This ____ I am going to ____." Here's my list. This day I am going to make art. This week  I am going to try to grow my business. This month  I am going to try to get published again. This year  I am going to try to ea

DICC, Dilly Beans, and the Beginnings of a List

Happy March 1st. It is officially my least favorite month of the year. But! It is sunny out, kinda warmish, and I am going to try and have a very positive outlook for the month. Please bear with me if I get cranky though. Since it's the 1st, I have a new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge to share with you. And since it's Friday (yay!), I have a new Dilly Beans project. Plus! I have joined the 30 Days of Lists . And though I didn't make my list all sorts 'o fancy yet, I will share it with you. First, DICC . We are proudly sponsored by Rick St. Dennis this time. This is Lady Felicity. I used #'s 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, and 10. But what's on the itinerary, you ask? You'll just have to visit the DICC blog to find out!  Rick had asked me to color Lady Felicity with peach. A couple of weeks ago, he assigned his EDT members an image, and we were given a color to work with. I don't use peach too often, but I am happy with how she turned out. She look
