Flowerful: Dilly Beans

Greetings! It's time for a new Dilly Beans challenge! The latest challenge is "Flowerful." So bust out some pretty petals and get fancy!

Isn't this cheery? I used alcohol markers to color in my Dilly image, and Distress Inks for the sentiment, which is from Ginger's House.

I was really trying to channel Spring with this one. It's just so cold in NY still! Though, I have some of my beloved crocuses blooming outside, which always makes me smile.

I''d like to point out, that not all glitter glue is created equal. The pink isn't Stickles from Ranger. Look at how gloopy it is! And uneven. The Mermaid Stickles looks so much better. Only Stickles for me from now on! That was your public service announcement for the day. ;) So are you going to play along? Visit the Dilly Beans Challenge Blog to see even more Flowerful challenges. Thanks for stopping by Have an inspiring day!

March Bombshell Hump Day Hop: Washi Away & WW: Flower Fairies

Hello! It's time for the March Bombshell Stamps Hump Day Hop! This month's theme is "Washi Away." Washi  tape is extremely popular with paper crafters right now, so I thought it would be fun to have a challenge where everyone uses it. Also, since it's Wednesday, I have the latest Wicked Wednesday challenge to share as well. That theme is Flower Fairies, and we are sponsored by A & T Digital Designs. Let's start with the hop.

Ahoy Sailor! That's the set I used to create my card. Obviously, the Bombshell and Lifesaver image are part of the set, but so is the teeny star you see in between them.

I colored the images with alcohol markers, and used an embossing folder for my background. Then there's the fab chevron print washi tape! Yum! Love that stuff! Now...my daughter wanted to get in on the act. She loves washi tape too. So she chose some Bombshells to play with too. Take a peek at her teeny creations!

She used the Bombshell Patterns. What bites is …

Celtic Knot Box

Top o' the mornin' to ya! Ok. I'm not Irish, and I'm not going to even try to fake it. But, I did make something inspired by Ireland. I made a box using a beautiful Celtic knot from Dreamweaver Stencils. It's called Celtic Hexagon.

The box took several hours to make, mostly due to drying time. First, I painted the box Rainforest Green. I embossed the Celtic knot with Black Embossing Paste, and once that dried, I went over the image again with with Crackle Embossing Paste. While it was still wet, I sprinkled on 3 colors of Metallic F/X powders. I used Ivy Garden, Amber Glow and Gold Dust. I let that dry, and brushed off the excess.

I used a metallic copper rub on paint to bring out a bit of the wood grain, and painted a white border on the top of the box. I added a bit of metallic rub in green and copper to that white band, so that it would mimic the Celtic Knot.

The box was fun to make! I love decorating boxes. My kids went on a scavenger hunt this morning, becaus…

Pink and Green with Dilly Beans and DICC

Hello! I am sharing yesterday's Dilly Beans challenge with you today, plus the new Desert Islands Crafters Challenge. The Dilly Beans challenge this week is Pink and Green. As much as I love making dark, gothic pieces, I do love pink and green and a color combo.

That sure is a lot of pink and green! I used my watercolor markers to color her in.

At DICC, we are sponsored by The Stamping Boutique. Here's what I made.

It's an ATC. And I used #'s 1, 2, 5, 6, and 9. But you need to go to the DICC Blog to see what the itinerary is! ;)

I used colored pencils to color in this image. It's a cheery little ATC. I hope you will play along with these challenges. Please visit the Dilly Beans Blog ad the DICC blog for more info. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Wicked Wednesday: Leprechauns and Luck

Hello! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday challenge. This week, it's Leprechauns and Luck, and we are sponsored by Sami Stamps.

I colored my little leprechaun with colored pencils. I lover her top hat.

I had an itty bitty stamp for my green background that kind of looked like a shamrock, and I just had to use the holographic flower as an accent.

I hope you will join us at Wicked Wednesday this week! I am entering my ATC into Sami Stamps' blog challenge, which is to Use Some Green. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Ms. March's Bombshell Challenge

Greetings! I have a Bombshell Stamps project to share today. Ms. March, our Pin-Up for the month, shared her challenge for the month yesterday. She wants us to play Bombshell Bingo! Visit the Bombshell Blog to see the Bingo card. Here's my project.

I made a bookmark for my daughter. I used 3 images from the Butterfly Queen set. I colored them with Pentel markers and added some yellow Stickles to their bodies.

Needless to say, my daughter was thrilled to receive the bookmark. She's 5, and is really trying to read. Please be sure to visit the Bombshell Blog to see what some of the other Bombshells created. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Crazy for Coffee with Wicked Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! I have a new Wicked Wednesday challenge for you...it's Crazy for Coffee. I think many of us get that, right? I have a cup of coffee every afternoon, usually between 2 and 3. Do you drink a lot of coffee? I decided to go with Latte from Saturated Canary for my ATC.

I colored Latte with my colored pencils. I used bright, happy colors because I am SO over the dull drab look of Winter. And the chevron print gives it a bit of punch too.

Who's up for sharing the coffee love? Then play along! Visit the Wicked Wednesday blog to see some more fun projects. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

March Bombshell Muse Monday: Lotus Garden

Hello out there! It's the first Monday of March, so it's time for me to share this month's Bombshell Stamps Muse Monday. I chose Lotus Garden for the DT to highlight. You are sure to see some beautiful and tranquil pieces throughout the month. Plus the Lotus Garden set will be on sale for the entire month!

Isn't it pretty? I decided to make a pendant using 3 of the images from the set.

I used Shrinky Dinks for my images, and I colored them with pencils. I love how vibrant the colors look after the images have been shrunk.

I added a few enameled pieces to add to the watery feel I was going for. Please be sure to visit the Bombshell Blog to see more fun projects using the Lotus Garden set. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
