Something New with Wicked Wednesday

Greetings! I have a new Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge to share with yo today. This week, we are sponsored by Lemon Shortbread and the theme is "Something New." I used Bat Flapper Girl for my ATC. I cropped her quite a bit so that I wouldn't have too many tiny details on the ATC. The full image is great, and you should definitely check it out. She is one part of my "something new." I painted her with Twinkle H2O's. I haven't used them in a dogs age, and I am so glad that I broke them out for this project. Her skin was colored with my watercolor markers from Tombow. For the second half of my "something new," I used Wedding Dress irRESISTables from Imagine Crafts . That's the super cool splatter that you see in y background. It's a thick spray that stays dimensional and shiny. You can see in this picture how iridescent the Twinkles are, and the dimension of the irRESISTables. That's it for me today! I wish you a fant

Cozy Kitty

It's a wrap! Well, almost....Christmas is almost here, and the Stampendous team is wrapping up the last of our Christmas projects that we are going to share with you this year. I used Cozy Kitten for my little ATC. And I colored her and my sentiment with Chameleon Pens. The sentiment is from the Holiday Expressions Perfectly Clear set. I used a circle punch to cut out the sentiment before I colored it. And I loosely fussy cut the kitten, who is oh-so-sleepy from wrapping (or perhaps UNwrapping?!) so many presents. Around the edge of the green cardstock, I sprinkled some chunky white embossing powder from the White Encrusted Jewels Kit . Super-short post from me today, because I still have tons to do before Thursday! Merry Everything to you and yours!!!

Have a Tree-mendous Birthday!

Today is the birthday of a very special lady. It's Laura Weed's special day, who is the fearless leader of the Stampendous team! We decided to get a fun Birthday Hop going for her, and here's what I've made. I tried to catch some of fellow DT'er Tenia 's funky vibe for my card. I just lover her style, and I would love to try to create more things like her. She's rad! I used the Forest Sayings Perfectly Clear set . I stamped both imaged on to watercolor paper with Tuxedo Back Memento Ink, and then painted them with my watercolors. While the pieces were still wet, I sprinkled kosher salt on top. This absorbs some of the paint, and leaves a really cool mottled effect behind once you wipe away the salt. You'll want to wait until the piece is dry to do that, and you can speed up the process with an embossing gun if you'd like. I also used one of the border stamps from the Life Words Perfectly Clear set . And I can't forget to mention my chevro

Christmas Wish with A Day for Daisies

Hello! It's time for me to show off another image from A Day for Daises ' December Club Kit. I used Christmas Wish, and this little guy is soooooo cah-yute!!! Isn't that the sweetest little skunk you'e ever seen? I colored him with my watercolor paints. I used 2 Spellbinders Labels 1 dies for my background, and inked the edges of everything with London Fog Memento from Imagine Crafts . Then, I took some Cut and Peel and used an EK Success border punch and sprinkled red micro glitter from the Stampendous Christmas Micro Glitter Kit all over it after I adhered it to the card. Please be sure to visit the A Day for Daisies Blog to see what the rest of the team made this week. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Winter Blues with Wicked Wednesday

Hello and welcome! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge. This week, we are sponsored by The East Wind , and the challenge is Winter Blues. I used Lucy Loo Luna Spell . I colored her with my watercolor paints. I didn't pay too much attention to deatail, and I just gave her overall washes of colors. She is a great image, and I cropped her down for the ATC, but I look forward to coloring the entire image bigger some day. I used some Shimmery Silver Delicata ink from Imagine Crafts around the edges of the image, along with shimmery blue cardstock behind it for my base. I also used a Sakura glitter pen for the crescent moon and her bindi. That's it for me today. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday team over on the blog. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Joyful Noise with House Mouse

This is Joyful Noise . I colored this musical duo with Chameleon Pens, and then I loosely fussy cut around the image. This is a perfect image for those pens! I got a wide range of colors without needing a lot of markers. Would you believe that I only used 4? Here's a closer look. I cut loosely around the image And adhered it to some green cardstock, layered on top of olive green, on top of white, and then on to my red card base. I also added some red glitter from the Christmas Micro Glitter Kit . I added some Rik-Rak from May Arts to the bottom of the card. It just adds another element of fun to the card. Below are all the ladies posting along with me today. Please be sure to show them some love. Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day! Modern Christmas with A Day for Daisies

Hello! It's time for a new 2 week challenge with A Day for Daisies . I am loving this one, and I hope you will too. It's "Modern Christmas" with an inspiration photo. Take a look! And here is the card I made, using Christmas Tree Time. I colored this image with my Tombow Recycled Pencils. I kept this card pretty simple, although I debated about whether or not I should go over the top with glitz ad glam to go along with the inspiration photo even more. But, simplicity won out this time. I did have to add a little sparkle of course, so I used some Shaved Ice at at the base of the image and Crystal Glitter Mix around the edge. Both are from Stampendous, of course. I used Zip Dry Liquid Adhesive from Beacon to get the glitter to stick. That's it for me today. Please be sure to visit the rest of the ladies over at the A Day for Daisies Blog . Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Patty PopOns and Stampendous!

Hello! This week, the Stampendous team has been stamping and stenciling on Patty PopOns Puzzle pieces. I have a sheet of these fun little, velcro backed pieces. 4 rows of 3 pieces. So I decided to make each row a different season. Today I am sharing a piece from the Fall row. But I decided to include my kids in this project, so my daughter created a Winter piece, and my son created one for Spring. Here's mine. I used 3 alcohol markers and the Hexagons stencil to create my background. Then I used Glossy Black Embossing Paste for my Spider . After it dried, I used the Peeled Paint stamp from Andy Skinner's Industrial set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink . I then inked the 2 outer edges of the puzzle piece. Here is my little girl working hard on her puzzle. She's stamping snowflakes with VersaCraft ink. She used the adorable Build a Snowman set. The present is from the Holiday Expressions set. She colored the whole thing using Prismacolor markers and one

Greetings! It's time for a new Wicked Wednesday challenge. This week we are sponsored by All Dressed Up and the theme is Tic Tac Toe. You'll need to go to the Wicked Wednesday Blog to see what the Tic Tac Toe board looks like. Here's my ATC, using the free space, blues, and washi tape. I used the Little Star image today.  I colored her with my Tombow watercolor markers, and I used some Crystal micro glitter (from the Stampendous Christmas Micro Glitter Kit ) on her wings. Around the edge of the image, I inked it with VersaMark ink and sprinkled on some Shabby Blue embossing powder from the Blue Encrusted Jewels Kit . I also inked the edges in VersaMark Sunny Sky, and I added my washi tape. Please be sure to visit the rest of the Wicked Wednesday girls over on the blog. Thanks for stopping by. Book Dreams with A Day for Daisies

Hello! It's Friday, so I have something new from A Day for Daisies . My project today was a total blast to make. I started off with one idea, but it morphed into something that I think is a lot better. I used Book Dreams for my image. I colored up the sweet girl with my watercolor paints. I then fussy cut her out. Next, I took some watercolor paper, cut it to fit on my card base as a mat, and grabbed some of my colored sprays. I used a combination of 4 Dylusions sprays. I opened up 3 of them, and using the base of the sprayer (the straw part) to swirl some color above where the girl's head would eventually be. Then I spritzed the yellow spray, and a little water after that. I thought it needed a bit of sparkle, so I used some clear embossing powder and crystal glitter from Stampendous . I love how it turned out! I painted a bit around the edge of my card base for some added color. This is my way of showing what happens to children when they read. This is certainly

Add Watercolor with ADfD

Hello, and Happy Friday! It's time for a new challenge with A Day for Daisies . For the next 2 week,s we ask you to "Add Some Watercolor." That's a pretty easy thing to do, in my opinion, as these images lend themselves so beautifully to watercolors. Here's my take on the challenge, using " Gathering Berries for Winter ." Of course I colored the adorable image completely with watercolors. My background was made by using Maple Leaf Large Stencil from Dreamweaver and a few sprays. I used 3 Dylusions, and 1 Memories Mist. I also sprinkled some pretty Golden Sand embossing powder from the Bronze Encrusted Jewels kit . Isn't this a sweet little squirrel? You can see some of the gold in the Golden Sand embossing powder in the photo above. It adds just enough shimmer. Please be sure to visit the rest of the gals over at the A Day for Daisies Blog . Thanks for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!

Flying Fairy Fun with ADfD

Hello! I have a new card to share with you today from the A Day for Daises November Club Kit. I used Flying Fairy Fun for this card. She is so cute...she reminded me of my daughter when I first saw the image. I colored her with my watercolors. These images lend themselves so well to watercolors. Here's a close up. My sentiment is from the Create with TLC Blog . I colored that with Rose Bud Fireworks! from Imagine Crafts . My background was made with one of the lovely stamps from the Fronds Perfectly Clear Set from Stampendous, and then I embossed it with the Lavender from the Spring Sparkle Embossing Kit . On my card base, I applied some liquid adhesive and sprinkled Shaved Ice all around the edge. I love the opalescent quality of this stuff and the great chunky texture it has. Don't forget to play along with our "Add Some Texture" challenge. You have 1 more week to join us. Please visit the A Day for Daisies Blog for more info. Thanks for stopping by.
